Meet Tanisha

After deciding that I didn't want...
to spend all my days sitting at a desk writing code, or in an office, I knew I wanted to work with people creating experiences that helped them feel good in their bodies and that also allowed me to be creative.

Like most, my hair is a big part...
of my identity. It was my own experiences with getting my hair done that lead me to wanting to do hair. My whole life I have been a visual artist first, even having my work in juried art shows and galleries but I have been in the beauty industry for well over 10 years. I am passionate about art, wellness, and making our bodies feel cared for. The details matter! I am picky and will never give a service that I wouldn't be ok with receiving myself.

I have found that very few hairstylists...
felt comfortable working with my super curly hair, which drove me to wanting to fill that void. How special it could be to help people of all hair patterns feel like they could be taken care of!
I want to help heal the relationship that curly haired people have with their hair and help rebuild trust with the curly community. I can't heal the world but I can try and spread love within my community, and help my community love themselves, which will help spread the love even further (in a pay it forward kind of a way).

I'm meticulous and believe...
the little details matter. I'm also silly, playful, and have a huge heart. I'm driven by my desire to create genuine and meaningful connections. I love love, food, anime, scary movies, long boarding, getting a new tattoo, working on creative projects, and doing activities with my friends. I love quirky things like my hairless cat named Mikasa (Mika for short), or my bearded dragon, Mango.
With so much chaos in the world, I want to be a part of the good. I want to offer people a safe space they can go to recharge and feel taken care of.
